2024-25 Impact Report: Teacher Support Network

The Madison Public Schools Foundation is proud to celebrate another impactful year supporting all MMSD schools and student programs through the Teacher Support Network. In the 2024–25 school year, thanks to strong partnerships with EZ Office Products, MMSD’s Department of Strategic Partnerships, and generous community and corporate supporters, we delivered over $324,000 in supplies and in-kind resources directly to schools.

From essential classroom materials and snacks to winter gear and morale-boosting gifts for educators, this year-round support ensures that schools receive what they need, when they need it most. This year marked the 5th anniversary of the Teacher Support Network, and since its inception, the program has delivered more than $1.25 million in resources to Madison Metropolitan School District!

Financial Highlights

  • Total Allocated Budget: $183,650
  • Total Annual Spending: $169,526
  • Budget Utilization Rate: 92%
  • Year-End Surplus: $14,124

Supporting Educators & Building Community

Beyond classroom supplies, the Teacher Support Network funded key initiatives to uplift our educators and strengthen community connections, including:

  • Black Educator Appreciation Event: $4,150 supported a networking and celebration event, fostering connection among Black educators across the district.
  • New Educator Orientation: $3,100 funded welcoming t-shirts for new teachers and staff, building a sense of belonging from day one.

The Power of Partnership

Our impact was greatly amplified by generous in-kind support:

  • Lands’ End: Donated $90,000 in new clothing available to all MMSD schools, plus an $18,700 discount for the Transition Education Program serving students experiencing homelessness.
  • EZ Office Products: Provided $45,000 worth of services including delivery, webstore maintenance, and sourcing requested supplies at cost—maximizing every dollar.
  • Kahler Slater, Nelnet, and Park Bank: Contributed $1,500 in care kits for educators during parent-teacher conferences.

What We Delivered

The $169,526 in program spending translated into tens of thousands of essential items requested directly by schools:

  • 40,416 #2 pencils
  • 68,060 individual snacks
  • 5,731 packs of art supplies (crayons, markers, paper)
  • 3,677 health and hygiene packs (sanitizer, pads, deodorant, etc.)
  • Thousands of paper products, binders, folders, and organizational supplies

Looking Ahead

The 2024–25 school year demonstrated the power of combining strategic funding with deep community partnership. Our total program impact exceeded $324,000, and we have expanded to support Summer School as well, providing truly year-round aid to MMSD scholars and educators. Moving forward, the Foundation is committed to growing these partnerships and continuing to deliver responsive, meaningful support to our schools.

Thank you for being part of this journey to ensure every classroom has the tools to succeed!
