What to Expect as a Principal Partner
As a Principal Partner, you will spend the morning of Thursday, October 30 beginning at 8:00 am at one of Madison’s 52 public schools, shadowing your assigned principal. You’ll engage in a variety of school activities — from classroom visits to staff meetings — gaining a unique window into the rewards and challenges educators navigate every day.
The morning concludes with a luncheon and facilitated discussion at the Alliant Energy Center, where Principal Partners, school leaders, and district officials reflect on the day and explore opportunities for deeper community collaboration. The event will conclude by 1:30 p.m.
Your Commitment Includes:
Completing a brief application to confirm your participation.
Letting us use your current LinkedIn bio and headshot, which will be shared with your host principal. If you aren’t on LinkedIn, we request you submit these items to us when you register.
Spending the morning (approximately 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) at your assigned school.
Attending A Principal Experience luncheon and program (12:00 – 1:30 p.m.).
Sharing your experience with friends, family, colleagues, and your wider network.
Encouraging your organization to explore or strengthen an Adopt-a-School partnership.
Considering becoming a Schools Make Madison Sponsor or Champion to support A Principal Experience and the Foundation’s work.
