Olson Elementary

Olson Elementary is a diverse school located on the west side of Madison. We serve approximately 450 students from various neighborhoods and are committed to working together as a community in order to ensure that all of our students and families feel welcomed, valued and have full access to opportunities for learning.

Welcome to Olson Elementary

Home of the Swimming Otters

Together we continue to fight for issues of equity and that all students receive a high-quality education that nurtures their academic, behavioral and social-emotional well-being. We’re dedicated to building collective responsibility and a commitment to ongoing collaboration. Olson is built to be a green school that creates a healthy environment conducive to learning while saving energy, resources, and money. You will notice signs of our green school throughout the building, such as our geothermal heating and cooling system, solar panels on the roof and the lighting in our learning spaces.

What Makes Olson Elementary Unique

Adopt-a-School

Interested in adopting a school?

Through the Foundation’s Adopt-a-School program, Madison’s public schools are “adopted” by a local business, organization, or government agency, forming mutually enriching partnerships.

“Thank you to the SEA’s at Olson for working so well together. When there is a shortage, they do everything in their ability to cover and make sure all needs of children are met.”
