A New Playground in 2020 for Lincoln Elementary
The Midvale-Lincoln PTO is kicking off an ambitious fundraising campaign to get a new playground built at Lincoln Elementary by the fall of 2020 and for a limited time: Gifts of support have the potential to be matched generously!
Donate by December 31, 2019 and your donation will be MATCHED up to $13,000! Two local families have generously agreed to match donations. The Ozanne Family has committed up to $10,000 and a second anonymous family has committed up to $3,000. Thank you to these two families!
Background and Need
In May 2019, the playground bridge at Lincoln Elementary collapsed during recess. The entire play structure is nearing the end of its life and needs to be replaced. New equipment will provide a safe, engaging, and inclusive play space for all Lincoln students and the surrounding community. For more information visit the Midvale-Lincoln PTO online.

Full Hearts – Full Bellies (and incredible local business partners!)
As Thanksgiving ushered in the holiday shopping season, several local businesses decided to team up to help pay off student lunch debt in Madison’s public schools. Launched by A Room of One’s Own bookstore, who donated a percentage of the big shopping weekend’s proceeds to help, this effort helped grow our Child Nutrition Assistance Fund, which helps MMSD scholars relieve school lunch debts. Lots of local businesses got on board for this quick push to support local business and our public schools, including:

While many vendors’ promotion period has ended, the Foundation’s Child Nutrition Assistance Fund is a sustained fund that can accept gift donations at any time.
