We make it easy to get involved. From volunteering your time to our popular Adopt-a-School program, our goal is to help you find new ways to support Madison’s public schools and students. Here are 9 opportunities to take advantage of right away:

1 – Donate
Madison Public Schools Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency supported solely by donations. Individual gifts of all amounts are appreciated, and those of $500+ are recognized as a Schools Make Madison Champion. Donate Now >>

2 – Become a Schools Make Madison Sponsor
Add your name to the list of businesses that have committed to making an annual financial gift to the Foundation ranging from $1,250 to $25,000+ Learn More >>

Alumni: Bernadette Galvez

Bernadette Galvez, Memorial alumna, and Madison Fire Department Community Education Officer, recently received Wisconsin’s “Public Educator of the Year” award from the Wisconsin State Fire Inspectors Association for her three decades of work in fire prevention education.

Alumni: Rosa Thompson 

Rosa Thompson, a proud 2004 graduate of East High School, has remained deeply connected to her roots on Madison’s east side, a place she still calls home. From her early days at Lapham Elementary through her experiences at Marquette Elementary, O’Keeffe Middle School, and East High, Rosa’s journey has been shaped by determination, personal growth, and a dedication to supporting education and her community.
