⏰ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
📍 Madison West High School
Every year, we gather with the people who have made Madison’s public schools part of their legacy.
This year, we celebrate at West High School, an iconic Madison institution approaching its 100th year. For generations, West has been a place where students grow, explore, and prepare for what’s next. It stands as a powerful reminder of what long-term community investment makes possible.

This year’s program includes:
- Enjoy light appetizers and refreshments while networking with members of the local philanthropic and education community
- Insights from MPSF and MMSD leaders on the importance of and impact Legacy gifts have on the future of public education in Madison
- Hear from Melinda Heinritz, President of Madison Public Schools Foundation, in one of her final public events before she retires in June.
- Student guided tours of newly renovated Madison West High School. See all that has changed since the last time you were in the building!
Featured Speakers:
- Dr. Joe Gothard – Superintendent, Madison Metropolitan School District
- Melinda Heinritz – President, Madison Public Schools Foundation
- Dr. Daniel Kigeya – Principal, Madison West High School
Why Planned Giving Matters?
A planned gift is one of the most lasting ways to shape what Madison’s public schools can offer future students. It works alongside your financial and estate plans, on your terms, and helps ensure that the opportunities we value today continue for generations to come.
Whether you’ve already included MPSF in your plans or are just beginning to explore the idea, this evening is designed to inform, inspire, and welcome you into the conversation.

Be Part of the Legacy
West High’s approaching centennial is a milestone, but it’s also a reminder: the future of our schools is shaped by the choices we make today.
We hope you’ll join us.
